Tips to staying hydrated!

Most of us know we need to drink more than we currently do but without making a conscious effort it doesn’t happen. Just like anything it needs to be made a priority! Below are some really easy ways to up your daily intake.

  • First drink of the day: We’re always banging on about our morning warm water with lemon but it’s a great way to kick start the day! Plus you’ve just had the last 8 hours without any water so your body is parched! Warm water on an empty stomach re-hydrates the body, jump-starts metabolism, and helps to flush out toxins
  • Buy a BIG & sexy drink bottle: You know how you’re more motivated to workout when you have a new pair of tights or sweet set of new kicks? You got it, a sexy drink bottle could do the same! Worth a try! We’re in love with S’well Drink Bottles
  • Keep it close: Have that bottle with you 24 bloody 7! Have it staring you in the face so you’re constantly reminded to drink, drink, drink!
  • Add some excitement: Yip water can be boring, but it doesn’t need to be! Add a bit of excitement and flavour by adding fresh fruit and herbs. We recommend keeping it natural and to avoid flavouring agents. Our fav combos are strawberries and mint or Orange and blueberries
  • Drink herbal teas: Rather than the coffee, try some flavoured teas
  • Eat your H2o: A sneaky way to amp up your water is to consume high water content fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, cucumber and Zucchini
  • Get the app! Yip there really is an app for everything! Download a water reminder app or set up some calendar reminders to get up from your desk and have a drink!
